Howard Mundin becomes new mayor of Haywards Heath

Howard Mundin has been elected the new mayor of Haywards Heath, with former town mayor Alastair McPherson as his deputy mayor.

The decision was made at Haywards Heath Town Council’s full council meeting on Wednesday, May 5.

Michael Pulfer and Clive Laband will remain as leader and deputy leader of Haywards Heath Town Council.

Alastair McPherson will also take on the role of vice chairman of the planning committee in support of its continuing chairman Clive Laband.

A spokesman for Haywards Heath Town Council said: “Cllr Mundin was quick to step up to the plate in his mayoral role by attending the official opening of A Plan Insurance in Haywards Heath in his first week.”

Mid Sussex MP and minister for employment Mims Davies also attended the event.
