An application for a screening opinion, which is used to decide whether a whether a development should be subject to environmental impact assessment has been submitted to Chichester District Council for the proposed 185 home development on the land at Coxes Farm in Hambrook.
The new development would also incorporate a farm shop, work hub community centre and a wildlife corridor.

Hide AdThis is not the only development taking place in the Chidham and Hambrook parish as a planning appeal due to hear arguments for and against 200 homes in the Chidham and Hambrook parish was postponed before it had even begun due to the venue not being big enough.
The application has also been met with five objections from the public expressing concern about the impact it will have on the area and it’s local environment.
Mr Paul Bridger said: “It’s hard to believe this ridiculous application, the level of proposed development in Hambrook is out of control, we do not have enough infrastructure to cope as it is this amount of new housing is unrealistic.
"Yet again i am sure some highly paid consultants will publish a report claiming it will have little impact on roads, doctors, hospital and wildlife not to mention peoples well being it does not mean its true, you cant keep leaving common sense out of the decision making process this level of building is out of control and must stop before its too late.”
