The 300-pages of words and pictures tell her adventures in such places as Cyprus, Eygpt and a 2009 trip to the Antarctic. Published on November 1 under the name Sally Hubbard-Harris, the book also marks Sally’s 80th birthday, and has a front cover illustration by the artist John Wakefield.

Sally, of Broad Street, Cuckfield, was well-known as a self-taught cake decorator and she will be selling the first 50 copies of her book in aid of the Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield, reordering and refurbishment fund at a book signing at the church on Sunday November 3 after morning services.

Also, on November 8, she will have a stall at Cuckfield Craft Fayre at the Queen’s Hall in the High Street and the book will be sold, priced £12.50, at other times through The Pantry and Wealden Stores.

Sally said her stories had taken about two years to compile and documented her lifetime adventures on land, sea and air as well as including several chapters on well-known local friends.
