Sidlesham Primary School raises hundreds for Dylan’s new chair

A school-boy is now able to complete is schoolwork sitting at a desk, thanks to funds raised by Sidlesham Primary School.

Seven-year-old Dylan Brown has reduced proximal stablity, which means he finds it difficulty to support himself.

He was told he needed a special chair to help him at school but the health or education authorities wouldn’t pay for it,” said head teacher Alison Bardsley.

“We just put it out to the parents, and we had bucket collections and a cake sale. We raised the money in just over vero months and got it ordered before the summer.

“Dylan loves it – it supports his core and body movements and its nice because the other children in the school helped raise the money.”
