With the recent excellent exam results, and new headmaster David Clark on hand to talk to parents, visitor numbers were high, with 60 families passing through the Abbey’s front door during the course of the morning.

As usual, prospective Battle Abbey School families were shown round by the school’s engaging and enthusiastic pupil guides.

With Karate displays, heart dissections, Chinese letter writing and much more taking place throughout the morning, events were sound-tracked by beautiful performances from the Chamber Choir and some of Battle Abbey School’s music scholars.

All tours ended up in the library where the visiting parents had the opportunity for a well-earned cup of tea and a chat with the headmaster as well as current parents.

Mr Clark said: “The open morning was another superb team effort by the pupils and staff of Battle Abbey School and they did a great job of demonstrating the special ethos of the school whilst showing people round its unique and beautiful grounds and facilities.”
