The Girl Guides from Bognor Regis have both received the highest award possible within their local guiding group.

Chloe-Anne Heaton and Paige Mooney, both aged 14, were presented with their award by Janet Erkiert, the Bognor Regis Division Commissioner, during a recent fundraising event.

Both girls had been members of the 1st Bersted Guides.

They received their accolades for taking part in the Girl-Guiding
Baden-Powell Challenge.

This endeavour took six months to complete and involved them organising events and activities for local Guiding groups, raising money during charity events and other personal challenges.

One of the challenges was to spend the night at the Weald and Downland Museum while getting involved in the conservation within the grounds.

Chloe-Anne said: “It had proved challenging having to think up fresh ideas for events but I have found the whole experience very enjoyable.”

The pair have now moved on to the senior section of Girl-Guiding UK and are working towards their young leadership qualification and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
