Dr Who? Children in the know about the timeless gent got a touch of the tales of Tardis and weird “happenings” when they enjoyed a special session at Haywards Heath library in the town’s Boltro Road.
The hour-long session with Jill Beese was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the television series and similar events were held at Burgess Hill and other West Sussex libraries.The cult series started on BBC in black and white in 1963 and has proved enduringly popular.
