A26 crash near Ringmer: police appeal for information after collision leaves driver with ‘serious life-changing injuries’

Sussex Police said they are appealing for witnesses after a collision involving a car and a van on the A26 left a driver with ‘life-changing injuries’ on Thursday, April 13.

Police said the incident happened on Clayhill near Ringmer shortly before 4pm.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended and a road closure was in place until about 11.50pm. The driver of one vehicle suffered serious life-changing injuries, while the other driver also sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital.

“Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage is asked to email [email protected] and quote Operation Andes.”
