Bognor car park to close for up to eight weeks for essential drainage and resurfacing work

Arun District Council has confirmed Hotham Park car park will close from September 14 while the work is carried out.

The council said the works are needed to address existing drainage problems and improve the condition and safety of the car park surface.

A spokesperson for Arun District Council said: “During the closure, motorists are asked to use alternative nearby car parks, including London Road car park. Please allow additional time for your journey where necessary.

"We appreciate that this temporary closure may cause inconvenience, so we'd like to thank residents and visitors for your patience and understanding while these important improvement works are completed.”

The closure follows the council's announcement that Bersted Brooks car park will close from September 3 for approximately eight to nine weeks for surfacing improvements and drainage works.
