Bosham road closed for Southern Water sewer works

Motorists and residents in Bosham are being advised to plan ahead as Ratham Lane closes for five days while Southern Water carries out specialist work to seal the sewer network beneath the road.

The road will be closed from Monday, November 2, until Friday, November 6 from 8am until 5pm.

The work involves using ultraviolet (UV) lining technology to seal sections of the sewer pipes and prevent groundwater from entering the wastewater network.

A traffic management plan has been provided by Southern Water, with residents retaining access to Brooks Lane and properties north of the railway station.

Southern Water has asked residents and motorists to be patient with its workforce during the operation, particularly where vehicles or equipment need to be moved to allow the work to continue.
