Car park in Newhaven to close for several days for ground surveys ahead of resurfacing work

Lewes District Council made the announcement about Railway Approach car park on its Facebook profile on Wednesday, October 21.

The council’s post said: “Railway Approach car park at The Marine Workshops will be closed on the following days, to allow for ground surveys to take place: Monday 26 October, Tuesday 27 October, Monday 21 December, Tuesday 22 December, Wednesday 23 December.

“The surveys come ahead of resurfacing work, planned for next year, which will be part of a renovation of the car park.

“The closest alternative car parks are: Dacre Road, Lower Place, Denton Island and West Quay.”
