Chichester motorists warned of A27 closure towards Portsmouth this weekend
Drivers travelling from Chichester towards Portsmouth are being warned to expect disruption this weekend, with a section of the A27 set to close completely as essential work continues at Langstone Interchange.
The eastbound carriageway at Langstone Interchange will be closed from 9pm on Saturday, September 5, until 6am on Monday, September 7, affecting motorists travelling from the Chichester area towards Emsworth and Portsmouth.

The closure is part of an ongoing programme of essential work to refurbish the bridges at Langstone Interchange and improve their safety and lifespan.
National Highways has urged motorists to plan ahead and allow additional time for their journeys, particularly as the area can become busy with visitors travelling towards Hayling Island and the south coast.
Despite the closure, the interchange roundabout will remain accessible, allowing traffic to travel around the roadworks. The westbound carriageway will remain open during the closure.
Katarina Saradinova, head of scheme delivery at National Highways, said the work had been carefully planned to minimise disruption.
She said: "Our programme to refurbish the Langstone Interchange bridges continues.
"We have carefully planned for key stages of work to take place overnight when the volume of traffic is less and over weekends avoiding major events in the region to minimise disruption to road users and the local community."
The closure comes as work continues on the bridges at the interchange, which forms an important link for motorists travelling between Chichester, Emsworth and Portsmouth.
Drivers setting off from Chichester and surrounding areas are advised to check their route before travelling and consider allowing extra time, particularly during busy periods.
The eastbound closure will run from 9pm on Saturday, September 5, until 6am on Monday, September 7.
More information about the Langstone Interchange works and closure can be found on the National Highways website.
