Collision adds to A283 delays during roadworks
A collision on the A283 in West Sussex added to already existing delays caused by roadworks.
The incident reportedly happened in the Storrington area between the A24 Washington roundabout and Chantry Lane/Nightingale Lane.
According to traffic sources, A283 Storrington Road was partially blocked, on Wednesday morning (September 9).
Sussex Traffic Watch reported that temporary traffic lights – at ongoing sewer works – on Washington Road were already causing delays.

Traffic was particularly slow westbound on the A283 and on the A24 northbound, with queuing traffic towards the Washington roundabout.
The crash added to the congestion in the area and was still causing delays at around 9.20am. It has since cleared.
Roadworks are currently taking place on Washington Road between September 7 and 11, with temporary two-way traffic signals in place while works are carried out to connect, disconnect or repair a sewer.
Further disruption is also being caused by drainage works in nearby Nightingale Close, where a road closure is in place from September 8 until 3pm on September 10.
Permits were issued by West Sussex County Council.
