Driver dies after collision on A27 south of Steyning

Police were called to the scene on the bridge by the slip road to Southwick at 5.20am.

The single occupant of the vehicle died of the injuries he sustained.

The male in his 40s has not been formally identified.

Police are investigating at the scene and he road has been closed for some time.

Police have thanked motorists for their patience and say the road will be closed for sometime by highways for repairs to the barriers.
