Rail issues between Lewes and Eastbourne

There are ongoing issues on the railway lines between Lewes and Eastbourne.

A safety inspection of the track is taking place at Glynde which is affecting Southern services that run between Lewes and Eastbourne (as of 4pm on Wednesday, August 17).

The line towards Eastbourne is currently blocked while the safety inspection takes place.

Services that run between London Victoria and Eastbourne / Ore will instead run between Victoria and Lewes.

Services between Brighton and Ore will start and terminate from Eastbourne.

Brighton & Hove buses between Eastbourne and Brighton Southeastern services between Hastings and London

Replacement buses have been requested to run between Lewes and Eastbourne.
