Stagecoach reinstates services between Chichester and The Witterings after road reopens
Stagecoach has confirmed that bus Services 52 and 53 have been reinstated between Chichester Bus Station and The Witterings following the reopening of the B2201 Selsey Road.
The road was closed after emergency works were required to repair potholes, with a subsequent water leak adding to the disruption.
In its latest update, Stagecoach said it intends to operate all journeys in accordance with the published diversion route and timetable.
However, services will initially be reintroduced on a phased basis while drivers are assigned to the reinstated journeys.

A Stagecoach spokesperson said: “Following the reopening of the B2201 Selsey Road, after emergency works to repair potholes and a subsequent water leak, I am pleased to advise that Services 52 and 53 have now been reinstated and are operating between Chichester Bus Station and The Witterings.
“We intend to operate all journeys in accordance with the published diversion route and timetable. However, initially, services will be reintroduced on a phased basis while drivers are assigned to the reinstated journeys.
“We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding while the emergency road closure was in place.”
The reinstatement follows disruption caused by the emergency closure, which had forced Stagecoach to introduce temporary bus arrangements between Stockbridge Co-op and The Witterings.
