Steyning road closures continue as Southern Water carries out repairs
Road closures have disrupted traffic in Steyning.
Southern Water works continue in Tanyard Lane and Bostal Road, following Monday’s closure of Bramber Road.
Bramber Road was closed in both directions from 9.30am until 11.59pm on Monday, October 19. There was no through route, with traffic diverted via the A283 Steyning bypass.
Tanyard Lane remains closed for Southern Water repair and maintenance works. The works began on October 17 and are scheduled to continue until October 21.
The roadworks information describes the work as ‘utility repair and maintenance works’ and warns that delays are likely.
Bostal Road is also closed for Southern Water works, with the closure scheduled to end at 11.59pm on Tuesday, October 20.
The works began on October 11 and involve replacing a leaking communication pipe. The closure applies around the clock.
The Bostal Road notice states: “Emergency access will be maintained at all times.”
