Van fire on A27 Pevensey Bypass

Emergency services were called to a van fire on the A27 this morning (April 1).

Firefighters and police rushed to the blaze which broke out on the Pevensey Bypass at about 11.30am.

The road was closed for some time while the incident, between Pevensey Roundabout and the A22 Golden Jubilee Roundabout, was dealt with.

The road has since reopened, according to traffic reports.

There are no reports of anyone being injured.
