Storm Austen: Eastbourne Borough Market cancelled amid severe weather
Eastbourne Borough Market has been cancelled on Saturday (October 24) due to adverse weather conditions.
A yellow weather warning is in place today (Friday, October 23) until 5pm as Storm Austen continues to bring strong winds to the Sussex coast.
In a social media post, a spokesperson for the market said: “Sadly, due to the weather warnings and high winds forecast for tomorrow, we’ve taken the decision to cancel our market.
“We’ll keep you updated on whether we’ll be able to open on Sunday.
“Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you all soon!”
