An initiative to raise much-needed funds for an Eastbourne charity has reached an impressive milestone.

Eastbourne-based Welbeing, the specialist provider of independent living services, runs a scheme that generates a small commission for Age Concern Eastbourne every time a new customer signs up and quotes ‘Age Concern’.

This week saw the 200th referral from Age Concern to the local company under the initiative which has raised £5,000 towards delivering vital services for the town’s over-50s in the last two years.

Age Concern Eastbourne has been caring for the people of Eastbourne for more than 65 years.

On April 1, 2011 the charity decided to remain independent of Age UK, and become a truly independent local charity.

It is the only one of its kind in Eastbourne dedicated to older people and their families.

The charity believes that every person should be able to look forward to later life with confidence. Don’t miss out on all the latest breaking news where you live.
