These popular high street coffee shops are gearing up for the festive season with some new menu additions.
With Christmas only a few weeks away, coffee chains are introducing their festive menus of seasonal hot drinks and warming snacks.
From the popular Toffee Nut Latte to sweet hot chocolates, here are the new menus from Costa, Starbucks, Greggs, Pret A Manger and Caffe Nero.
Greggs’ caramel latte is making a comeback for Christmas 2020. The coffee comes with salted caramel syrup, cream and a shortbread crumb. Unlike the festive bake, the latte has reduced in price, dropping from £2.75 to £1.95 for a 12oz cup.
The chain’s popular festive bake will be making its return this year, although it is slightly higher in price.
Rising from £1.55 in 2019 to £1.60, the bake contains pieces of chicken breast, sage and onion stuffing and bacon, all encased in a sage and cranberry sauce and delicious flaky pastry.
There is a pigs under blanket baguette, which is filled with pork sausages, sweetcure bacon, pork, sage and onion stuffing, topped with a cranberry and port sauce.
Festive sweet treats include mini shortbreads topped with caramel sauce, Belgian milk chocolate and a gold finish, along with Christmas tree shaped ginger biscuits. These come covered in Belgian chocolate and decorated with sugar ball sprinkles and a sugar paste star.

In terms of food, there’s a nod to a Friends episode – The One with the Gravy Layer Sandwich.
This sandwich has a top layer of pulled ham hock and turkey, a bottom layer with a smoky butternut crush, red cabbage and a slice of cheddar cheese, and taking centre stage in the middle, a moist slice of sourdough steeped in turkey and cranberry gravy.
