Worthing bed and mattress shop goes back to its roots – family firm with traditional values
The family business was established in 1946, and was originally known as Jones & Tomlin but became Worthing Bedding Centre in the 1980s.
Now, the store, which specialises in handcrafted mattresses and quality beds and bedding, is embracing its original proud name, whilst offering the same high standards of product and customer service.
Marketing Manager Adam SlingsbyThe Tomlin family has a long history in Worthing and has served generations of residents. It’s still the same family business, with a superb choice of beds and mattresses, even though the name above the door has changed.
“We have changed a lot over the years but have kept our old-fashioned values, offering the best brands and advice to give our customers a great night’s sleep,” said Adam.
Advice and trust
Jones & Tomlin is one of the largest independent bed retailers in the UK, but it offers a very personal and individual service to customers. With no hard sell or pressure, the team of showroom experts will speak to customers to find out exactly what they are looking for and advise them accordingly – whether that is something for the spare room, or a luxurious bed and mattress to last for years for the main bedroom.
And with nearly 100 hand-selected models on display in each store, as well as a wide range of accessories, their World of Sleep has everything you need to make your bedroom a haven for the perfect night’s sleep.
Quality materials
Jones & Tomlin are pocket-sprung mattress specialists – these individual springs help to reduce pressure points and minimise the transfer of movement, which is perfect if you share a bed and don’t want to be disturbed by your partner rolling over.
Only the finest natural materials are used in their premium brands including wool, cotton, Horsehair, alpaca, cashmere and silk, giving you breathability, durability and extra comfort.
Each of us has individual requirements for a good night’s sleep, and individual likes and dislikes when it comes to what makes a comfortable bed. At Jones & Tomlin the range and choice means you can be assured of a personal service to meet your needs.
“One of the things we find is that people can think it’s really complicated but we want to simplify the whole bed buying process with friendly expert advice. We want people to have the correct comfort and support they need in a bed by understanding their individual needs,” said Adam
Do I need a new bed?
Some guidelines say a mattress should be changed every 7-8 years, but some beds at Jones & Tomlin come with guarantees of up to 30 years. Adam says it all comes down to the quality of the mattress and how you look after it.
“If you follow the care guides for beds and mattresses they should last you a good few years.”
There is a wide range to suit your taste, needs, all on display at their showroom.
Free delivery
Jones & Tomlin also offer free delivery, 0% finance options and they’ll even take away your old bed for recycling, leaving you with nothing to do but lie down and relax and enjoy a stress-free, comfortable and warm night’s sleep.
