Fontwell goes Arabic

THE Arabian Racing Organisation will be back in action at Fontwell Park Racecourse on Saturday 16th June.

This popular southern track is a great venue for this amateur equestrian sport, which is now in its 29th year.

With eight races scheduled for the afternoon, this promises to be an exciting fixture, with many seasoned campaigners likely to be back in action.

Ex-royal jockey Bill Smith will both be well represented at his local course, as will Selbourne trainer David Paton and local jockey Anna Wallace. They will need a strong team to defy champion trainer Gill Duffield, based in Newmarket, who is guaranteed to have a strong hand for the afternoon.

Gates open at noon, access is to all enclosures and the first race is off at 2pm. With bar, refreshments and bookies, entry is 8 for adults, and children are free.
