Brighton dominated possession but for the first time this season Albion failed to register on the scoresheet.
Danny Welbeck led the line for Brighton as he made his first start for the club following his summer arrival.
Welbeck had the best two chances in the match in the first half and he also teed-up Tariq Lamptey for a good chance in the first minute.
Maty Ryan was also back in the team after he was dropped for the Spurs match as was Neal Maupay who partnered Welbeck up front.

9. Adam Lallana 8/10
Clever display in the midfield from Lallana. Played in advanced positions and some decent crosses from the left. The player most likely to create something for Albion
10. Neal Maupay 6/10
Back into the team after his disciplinary issues. A quiet evening for the French striker and played slightly deeper as Welbeck led the line.
11. Danny Welbeck 6/10
First start for Albion and teed-up Lamptey in the opening seconds with a clever cut back. Denied by Pope on 34 minutes when his left footed effort was saved. A loose first touch allowed to Pope smother an effort just before the break. Encouraging display from Welbeck though
12. Jahanbakhsh 6/10
On for Veltman as Brighton chased the winner. No real chances for the Iranian to make an impact
