The Worthing-born midfielder has been named alongside some of the world’s best youngsters in this year’s GOAL NXGN top 50.
The annual NXGN list highlights the 50 most incredible prospects to have been born after January 1, 2005.
Hinshelwood has made quite the impact this season. The versatile teenager has scored three goals in 12 Premier League appearances – including a superb effort in Albion’s 4-1 demolition of fierce rivals Crystal Palace at the Amex in February – but faces a stint on the sidelines after suffering a stress fracture in his foot.
But who else has made this list of the game’s brightest stars of the future?
The top 50 includes talents from across European football’s biggest clubs – including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
You can view the top 50 in full in the gallery below.

17. Paul Wanner - Bayern Munich (on loan at SV Elversberg)
Big things are expected from German under-20 international Paul Wanner. The striker became the youngest player in Bayern Munich's history at the age of 16 years and 15 days - and the second-youngest in Bundesliga history - following his substitute appearance against Borussia Mönchengladbach in January 2022. Wanner then became Bayern's youngest player in the UEFA Champions League in October at the age of 16 years and 293 days. He came on as a second half substitute in the 4-2 victory at Viktoria Plzeň. Despite playing for Germany's youth teams, Wanner was invited by Austria manager Ralf Rangnick to watch and meet the senior Austria national team in the hope that the 18-year-old will represent them at UEFA Euro 2024. 20. Simone Pafundi - Udinese (on loan at Lausanne)
Simone Pafundi was included in the Italian squad that took part in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, where the Azzurrini finished runners-up after losing to Uruguay in the final. The forward received his first call-up to the senior national team for two friendlies against Albania and Austria in November 2022. He eventually made his debut with the Azzurri on November 16, 2022, at 16 years old, playing the final minutes against Albania, and in the process becoming the the third-youngest debutant in the history of the Italy national team, and the youngest debutant ever in the last 100 years.
