Graham Potter's men did however show another side to their game and determined performances earned creditable away draws at Wolves, Sheffield United and West Ham. Brighton will need those qualities and perhaps a touch more flair when the season resumes. Here we look at who was playing well and who needs to shine in the remaining matches. 5. Neal Maupay
Always a problem for defenders. Even when he's not on target he causes problems for the opposition with his relentless workrate. Maupay has eight goals in his debut season in the top flight and the Frenchman showed his poaching instinct once again with a nice header to earn a point at Sheffield United.
6. Alexis Mac Allister
Impressed from the bench at Wolves. Was not on form for Brighton as such but he was playing superbly at Bocca Juniors and for Argentina u23s. It prompted Brighton to pay a reported 500k to cut short his loan and bring him back for the Premier League finale. Hopefully the lockdown hasn't halted his momentum.
7. Davy Propper
A smooth operator in the midfield and Albion rewarded the Dutch international with a new contract until 2023. Has played well so far but Brighton will need one of their most gifted players at his absolute best if they are to secure enough points from a tricky run-in.
8. Dale Stephens
The midfielder was just getting back to full fitness before the league suspension. Started the season very well and his experience and composure will be valuable during the remaining nine matches. May not always start but still has a key role to play.
