Crawley Town boss makes plea to fans after Cheltenham defeat
Crawley Town manager Colin Kazim-Richards is asking for the fans to stick with the team, after watching his side slip to another defeat, where the side has dominated position and chances, but lost 3-1 to Cheltenham Town.
The Reds slipped to 23rd in the table after this weeks’ games and are only off the bottom of the table on goal difference, and many Reds fans must be thinking that it’s looking a lot like last season.
However, Kazim-Richards understands the fans’ frustration at the final whistle as the boos rang round the Broadfield after this latest defeat. He said: “I’m very grateful that you do come out, and you hear the odd one or two and that’s normal. People are going to vent, and they’re entitled to vent 100%, million per cent, but the majority stay with us and they’re disappointed after and you should be, you should be.
“Because when we have the moments, we look really good, and that’s me being very impartial and looking at it with positive eyes. But then when we don’t have the moments, we have to be better when we’re not having them moments. We can’t be an eight or a nine and then be a two and a three. We need consistency, and just to the fans, I’m asking you to stay with it.”

Kazim-Richards certainly let his feeling known after the game. He said “I’m p*****d. I’m pi***d off. Excuse my language, but I am. And the guys are. I’ve shown them that I’m peed off. Because we were prepared. That’s going to be an excuse that we weren’t.
“We were prepared and we were ready. And it shows you the first 25 minutes, 30 minutes that we were. Now it takes a little bit of yourself to want to continue that for 90 minutes, to keep doing it when things get hard.”
