Crawley Town manager Rob Elliot has given an update on Armando Quitirna after he was replaced in the second half with a knock in Reds 3-0 win vs Lincoln City.

Will Swan opened the scoring inside two minutes off the second half starting when he smashed an effort from close range into the top corner. Despite Lincoln pushing for an equalise, Ronan Darcy added a second with a brilliant finish into the bottom left hand corner and then Rushian Hepburn-Murphy secured all three points when he slotted the ball past George Wickens.

However midfielder Armando Quitirna was replaced in the 57th minute after picking up a knock which is not what Elliot or Crawley fans would have wanted to see.

Speaking on the matter, Elliot said: “it's probably too early to say. I think he obviously cramped up a bit on his hamstrings. He's been fantastic, Junior in terms of the output, but, playing this level, the consistency of it, we took him off on Saturday when the game was four one, because we wanted to save energy for him.

“Hopefully it won't be anything too serious so unfortunately, that's the level. This is the level we're at. Players push themselves which Junior is doing but he's still trying to get his fitness. He hasn't played loads of games in his career, but since I've been here, he's shown real promise and real threat, and he's lovely to work with, a really important player for us too so hopefully it's not too serious.”

Overall this season Quitirna has featured 15 times for Crawley, scoring four times and assisting on two occasions.
