First half goals from Ashley Nadesan and Ludwig Francillette was enough for John Yems' men to make it two wins in a row following last week's 1-0 win over Barrow.
But who stood out for the Reds in the win? Here are the fans player ratings after the trip to Wales.
13. Jordan Tunnicliffe 7
Again showed what a good player he is when replacing Joel Lynch - the back three still were solid and gave very few opportunities to the Newport forwards
14. Isaac Hutchinson n/a
came on for a cameo replacing Ashley Nadesan in the final minutes
15. Overall
This team performance was up with the best we have seen all season - especially the first half, second half as expected Newport up their game but we held on to the 3 points.
