All the players played a blinder in the north east, and the relief and euphoria at full time between players and fans was there for all to see.

Two Hundred and fifty nine Reds fans made the journey up to County Durham.

Which was impressive considering the club didn’t even run a there and back supporters coach.

It was fantastic to see so many fans on the train up, and probably the fact most of us were drinking from 8am helped create an incredible atmosphere.

Manager Scott Lindsey celebrated in front of the travelling fans at full time and he needs to take so much credit for creating unity within a squad that has suffered so much upheaval over the past nine months both on and off the pitch.

If Scott is allowed to sign his own players without any internal interference then the future will be very bright in RH11.
