'Last week I told you I wasn't disappointed, this week I am' says Crawley Town boss after Cheltenham Town defeat
Crawley Town boss Colin Kazim-Richards couldn’t hide his disappointment after his side suffered another home defeat, this time losing 3-1 against Cheltenham Town.
Reds took a seventh minute lead through Dylan Morgan but two goals in two minutes from Charlie McCann and Andreas Weimann made it 2-1 at the break. McCann tehn scored nine minutes into the second half to condemn Crawley to their third home defeat of the season.
This followed the 3-2 defeat at Accrington Stanley last Saturday and the Reds boss did not hide his feelings in the post match press conference.
"I can't even say to you really what I want to say,” he said. “So just to put it into a little bit of context, because you're asking the questions and this is obviously I'm obligated to do this, right? So I think last week I said to you that I wasn't disappointed.

“I think this week I'm disappointed. Right now I'm very disappointed.”
Reds have only won one game so far this season and if results go against them they could be bottom by the end of Saturday.
But Kazim-Richards knows they have a lot to work on keep their good starts going for 90 minutes. “I think that's the right now,” he said. “That's the issue of trying to put right, of having to put right, of working on to put right is turning 20, 30, 40 minutes into 90 minutes, turning moments into continuous moments and being consistent out of possession, in possession. You know, those are the messages today before the game to the guys.”
He added: “It's such a crappy feeling in terms of sitting there because, you know, if you just sit here now and you know, a team's just gone through you, it's like, fair play. Today, we started fast, strong, looked really good. Have a bad moment when they score.
“The first goal, it's a good finish, blindside of the keeper, it's a good finish. Can there be little details to people being switched on a little bit quicker? Maybe, but fair dues, it's a good strike.
“OK, it's 1-1. Let's go. Second goal, need to be better, have to be.
“There's no other excuse. In those areas, you have to take better care on the ball, have to be stronger in those moments. And then we start off the game again, second half, cleared off the line, dominating, pinned back.
“They've got 11 men behind the ball and then we make a mistake. And then it goes 3-1 and then you're having to then, for five minutes, try and get your belief, your bravery back, your character back. And then by that time, it's pushing 75-80 and, you know, they're sitting back and you're trying to find the perfect pass, the perfect ball.
“We have to turn these moments in our favour, being more consistent, being switched on more.”
Reds travel to Grimsby Town next week.
