Pagham put five past Little Common
Little Common have often proved to be a banana skin for Pagham, famously knocking the Lions out of the cup at the semi-final stage last season. So, with that in mind, who knew what might happen when the two sides met again?
Pagham got off to a flying start and took the lead on 24 minutes when Owen Sheriff rose highest to power home a header from a Toby Hewitt corner. The Lions had their tails up and never looked back from there.
Sheriff was then brought down in the box, giving Pagham the perfect opportunity to double their advantage. Lewis Rustell stepped up and confidently tucked away the resulting penalty to make it 2-0.
However, Little Common had a moment of magic up their sleeve, pulling one back against the run of play with an absolute worldie to give Pagham something to think about heading into the break.

Any hopes of a Little Common comeback were firmly put to bed after the restart, as Pagham turned up the heat and took complete control of proceedings.
The Lions dominated the play and added three more goals to put the result beyond doubt. Jefkins got himself on the scoresheet before Gamlin added another, and Rustell grabbed his second of the evening to cap off a commanding performance.
Despite Little Common’s reputation as a tricky opponent, Pagham had too much for the visitors on the night, producing a dominant second-half display to secure an impressive 5-1 victory.
A great night’s work for the Lions, who are eighth in the table with games in hand.
On Saturday, Pagham host Newhaven while Little Common visit Guernsey.
