'The first half performance was unacceptable' - Crawley Town defender disappointed by woeful performance

Whilst Crawley Town lost 3-1 to Harrogate Town, it was a dismal first half that saw the Reds concede three goals that has raised concern.

Tony Craig, Crawley's centre-back, was quick to acknowledge that his side didn't turn up in the first 45 and left themselves with far too much to do in the second.

"From start to finish it wasn't good enough", stated Craig, speaking on the club website. "The first half performance was unacceptable. 3-0 down at half time. The damage was done. It was game over:

"They've come here and done a job on us. We've got to stand up tall and move on. "All the shirts are up for grabs. No-one did themselves justice today."

After trudging to a goalless draw against ten-man Leyton Orient mid-week, the Reds showed little improvement against Harrogate, concededing three goals without reply in 30 minutes - as the Sulphurites ran riot in the first-half.

"We've got to find our feet very quickly. There's a lot of games coming up. We've got to dust ourselves down.

"We want to be on the front foot. We want to win games, Craig explained. "We're all fighting in the same direction. There's a lot of good lads in the dressing...we look forward to Monday."

With no game mid-week it's back to the training ground for the Reds' players ahead of a weekend trip to Carlisle.

"We've got to go there and be tall", Craig stated. "They've done well this season..[but] we've got a week here where we can put a lot of hard graft in and [take] a game plan up there."
