Uni's badminton battlers to stretch their lead

Students from the University of Chichester's sports teams returned to sporting action with a number of teams looking to continue their impressive pre-Christmas form.

The men’s badminton team welcomed second-placed Reading to the Bishop Otter campus and comprehensively beat them 7-1 to move eight points clear with just four games remaining.

The men’s football seconds spurned the chance to open up a five-point lead as a resolute Reading side held out for a 0-0 draw. Chichester missed two penalties in the second half.
