Hit the Horsham Bug Trail this half-term Horsham District Council, working with Horsham Community Partnership, is delighted to invite families to hit the Horsham Bug Trail in Horsham Town Centre this half-term holiday. The overall aim of this free community project is to promote the town centre as a safe environment to explore and rediscover the great retail outlets it offers, whilst reconnecting with nature. A colourful array of bugs and butterflies will be displayed in town centre shop windows for families to track down. Free Bug Trail maps will be available at Horsham Museum and Art Gallery, Vacalola, Bubble Works, Hush Yoga and various other participating outlets in Horsham. Photo from Google Maps street view.

This February Half Term children can come to Squire’s Garden Centres and paint a ceramic bird feeder, or go on a wild bird treasure hunt around the garden centre. Paint A Bird Feeder - Get artistic and paint a colourful design on your ceramic bird feeder. It will look beautiful hung in the garden and it will help attract birds this spring, especially if you sprinkle some bird seed inside! Book your session online now (£6 per child) at squiresgardencentres.co.uk Wild Bird Treasure Hunt - This activity is FREE and there’s no need to book, simply turn up on the day. Children will follow a trail of bird characters around the garden centre, then answer some questions on an activity sheet which will help to spell out a magic word. Hand the completed activity sheet in to the customer information desk and receive a free sticker. Squire's 'Create & Grow' activities are on from 9.30am to 2pm on the following dates: Monday 21 to Friday 25 February 2022 - Squire’s in Crawley and Washington.
