The event will take place on Saturday, March 11, at The Grand Hotel in King Edward's Parade.

All funds raised from the event, which will include entertainment and food, will be split between Mayor Pat Rodohan’s two chosen charities of the year - Eastbourne Mencap, which supports local adults with learning disabilities, and Eastbourne Foodbank, a charity that provides emergency food for people in crisis.

Businesses also have the opportunity to help raise funds for the the charities as the event is looking for a ‘gold sponsor’ and an ‘entertainment sponsor’. All sponsors will feature in the event programme, promotional materials and in advertising at the venue.

Separate offers are also available for advertising in the programme and donations are being sought for the raffle and silent auction.

Mr Rodohan said: "We really appreciate sponsors coming forward and it's a great way to promote your business, so please do get in touch if you can support us.

"The Mayor's Charity Ball is always a very special event and this year promises to be particularly so, with a lavish three-course meal at the wonderful Grand Hotel followed by a raffle and silent auction then high energy covers from The Chandeliers that will get people dancing the night away."

Tickets cost £70 per person. Individuals, couples and groups are welcome to book, with tables seating a total of 10 or 12.
