Burgess Hill care home celebrates 20 years of care

A care home in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, is today celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of providing care and support to residents and their families.

Forest View celebrated the milestone with a special event attended by Shaw’s Founder, Jeremy Nixey; Marketing and Sales Director, Sean Tregonning; and Regional Director, Martin Vanhinsbergh. They were joined by residents, their loved ones, team members and other guests to recognise the home’s history and celebrate the people who have helped shape it over the past 20 years.

As part of the celebrations, the home also recognised the dedication and commitment of its team, presenting certificates, gifts and commemorative pin badges to employees celebrating their long service, with work anniversaries recognised every five years. In total, an impressive 145 years of combined service was celebrated.

The anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on the many memories made over the past two decades, celebrate the relationships built with residents and families, and look ahead to the future.

 Service Manager, Karen Russell, said: “Celebrating 20 years is a really special milestone for our home, and it’s wonderful to be able to share this occasion with our residents, their families, colleagues and guests. What makes this anniversary particularly meaningful is the people behind it - our residents. They make our home what it is, and our dedicated team make such a difference every day.

“We are also incredibly proud to recognise our colleagues who have reached their service milestones. With more than 140 years of combined service represented, their loyalty, experience and dedication are something worth celebrating. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 20 years.”
