Community, voluntary and social enterprise organisations are being encouraged to apply for funding through Crawley Borough Council's Community Grants Programme for 2027 to 2028.

The programme provides financial support to organisations delivering projects and services that make a positive difference to the lives of Crawley residents.
Strategic grants of £5,000 and above are available for projects and services that deliver clear outcomes aligned with the council's strategic funding priorities. Funding may be awarded for up to three years, although most grants are typically awarded for one year.
The council is particularly interested in supporting projects that:
support known, emerging and future vulnerable groups
promote employment, wellbeing and social mobility, while helping to reduce inequality
strengthen community spirit through local events and activities
Applications are welcomed from registered charities, community interest companies, voluntary organisations and community groups that meet the programme's eligibility criteria. Partnerships and emerging groups are also encouraged to apply.
Councillor Sue Mullins, Cabinet member for Community Engagement and Culture at Crawley Borough Council, said: “Our local voluntary and community sector plays a vital role in supporting residents, bringing people together and helping communities thrive. Through our Community Grants Programme, we are committed to investing in organisations that make a real difference to people's lives across Crawley.
“We are particularly keen to hear from groups whose projects support vulnerable residents, improve wellbeing and opportunities, and strengthen community connections. I would encourage any eligible organisation with an idea that will benefit our communities to get in touch and find out more about the funding available.”
Organisations interested in applying are advised to discuss their project or proposal with the council's funding team before submitting an application. Applicants for strategic grants must also complete an online eligibility checker and provide clear evidence of need, project outcomes, budget requirements and community support.
Applications open today, Monday 2 November, and close on Friday 11 December.
Successful applicants will be notified following the assessment process, with awards published on the council's website.
