The festive season is fast approaching, and the Brighton, Hove & West Sussex Deaf Children’s Society is inviting the entire community to come together for a fantastic day of Christmas fun, family entertainment and fundraising at its annual Festive Fair.

Taking place on Sunday 29th November 2026, from 10am until 4pm, at East Worthing Community Centre, BN11 2NQ, this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever!
With a whole host of festive attractions, visitors can look forward to fun activities, Christmas stalls, arts and crafts, refreshments, Santa’s Grotto, a raffle, teddy tombola and plenty more seasonal surprises.
And the best part? Everyone is welcome!
Whether you're a local family looking for a festive day out, a resident wanting to support a worthwhile cause, or simply someone who loves Christmas, the organisers would love to see you there. You do not need to have any connection to deafness or hearing loss to attend. This is an event for the whole community to enjoy.
Supporting a vital local charity
The event is being organised in support of the Brighton, Hove & West Sussex Deaf Children’s Society (BHWSDCS), a Lancing-based, non-government-funded charity which is run entirely by dedicated volunteers.
The charity supports d/Deaf children and their families across Brighton, Hove and West Sussex, helping to provide opportunities, experiences, activities and support that may otherwise be difficult for families to access.
As a charity that receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of its supporters, fundraising events such as this are incredibly important. Every penny raised helps the organisation continue its work supporting local deaf children and their families.
Behind the scenes, a small team of volunteers gives their time, energy and commitment to organise activities, events and fundraising opportunities, all with the aim of making a positive difference to the lives of local families.
More than just a Christmas Fair
This event is about much more than festive stalls and Christmas activities. It is an opportunity to bring people together, raise awareness, build community connections and help ensure d/Deaf children and their families continue to receive valuable local support and events .
The society hopes that local residents, families, businesses and community groups will come along, spread the word and help make this year's fair a huge success.
So come along, bring the children, invite your friends and family, enjoy some festive fun and help make a difference!
Every visit, donation and purchase will help support a small local charity doing important work for deaf children in our community.
