Hastings & Bexhill U12 Girls welcomed Crowborough on a very wet Sunday morning for a fiercely contested encounter that was far closer than the final scoreline suggests.

The opening half developed into a real defensive battle, with both sides showing determination and commitment in difficult conditions.
Crowborough eventually found the breakthrough to open the scoring, but Hastings & Bexhill responded brilliantly.

Hettie crossed the line for H&B to score her first try of the season, bringing the sides level and sending them into half-time at 5–5.
The second half began in much the same fashion, with neither team willing to give an inch.
It was a physical and fiery contest, with strong tackling and committed defence from both sides as the girls continued to compete for every ball.
Crowborough eventually began to find the openings that had been denied to them during the first half and were able to pull clear, ultimately securing a 25–5 victory.
The scoreline, however, did little to reflect the effort H&B put into the contest. The girls continued to work for one another and showed plenty of heart and determination against strong opposition.
There was individual recognition for Lottie, whose performance earned her Players' Player from Crowborough.
Esmae received the Coaches' Player award after a performance that demonstrated real passion, commitment and determination for her team.
And a special mention must go to Hettie, whose first try of the season provided a memorable moment on an otherwise rain-soaked morning.
Plenty to build on for the U12 girls after another tough and competitive game of rugby.
Final score: Hastings & Bexhill 5–25 Crowborough
H&B try: Hettie
Coaches' Player: Esmae
Crowborough Players' Player: Lottie
