Crawley Borough Council is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the grand finale of its popular High Street Summer Sounds programme on Thursday 10 September, with a fantastic evening of free live music in Crawley High Street from 5pm to 9pm.

After 13 weeks of bringing live entertainment, local talent and nationally recognised performers to the town centre, the final event promises to end the summer on a high with an exciting line-up featuring neo-soul artist Yesha, a special DJ set from Ace of Skunk Anansie, and a headline performance from acclaimed tribute band The Cureheads.
Opening the evening at 5pm, Yesha will bring her distinctive blend of neo-soul, reggae and soul influences to the stage. Combining rich vocals with the unique sound of her bass clarinet, she creates timeless, uplifting and soothing music.
At 6pm, Ace, lead guitarist and songwriter with iconic British rock band Skunk Anansie, takes over the decks for a special DJ set. With more than 30 years of global touring and hit records behind him, attendees can expect an energetic mix of 90s and 00s classic rock favourites and indie dancefloor anthems.
Headlining the evening from 7pm to 9pm are The Cureheads, the longest-running and arguably best-known tribute band dedicated to Crawley legends The Cure. Returning to where the summer concert series began, The Cureheads will recreate The Cure's unmistakable live sound and visual style in a fitting finale to the programme.
The free High Street Summer Sounds series has transformed Crawley High Street into a vibrant live music destination throughout the summer, showcasing an impressive range of performers and attracting audiences from across the borough and beyond.
Councillor Michael Jones, Leader of Crawley Borough Council, said: “High Street Summer Sounds has been a fantastic addition to Crawley's summer events programme, bringing people together to enjoy free live music in the heart of our town and, just as importantly, supporting our local businesses.
“We've welcomed a diverse range of talented performers over the last 13 weeks, many of them local, and we're delighted to round off the series with a strong line-up. I encourage everyone to come along and help us celebrate the final High Street Summer Sounds event for this year.”
