Horsham Park Bowls had a rare draw in their away game against East Grinstead, and one of their newest members was in the highest scoring trio. Park won on two rinks and lost on the other two for an overall score pf 58-58. It was an afternoon of tight, competitive bowls, with momentum shifting back and forth across the greens before the unusual conclusion.

The best scoring team of new bowler Simon Hobbins, David Dunnington and Sheila Howard had a strong start and established early control, picking up key multi-shot ends to build an impressive 11-3 lead by end 10. Although their opponents staged a brief mid-game fightback, they responded with great composure and finished with a great effort to win 20-13.
Mel Watson, Angela Spurr and Kamran Nadim battled hard throughout a closely fought match. After trailing early on, they clawed their way back to edge ahead 6-5 by end 10. They maintained their discipline through a tense, end-for-end second half, pulling clear in the final ends to seal a great result, ending with a score of 17-11
Harry Bailey, Josie Allen and Alan Setchell found the going difficult against a strong side throughout their contest. The pair stayed within striking distance through the first half, trailing closely at 7-6 at end 10, but the opposition played well in the second half with consistent line and length to pull away, finishing 14-18.
Julia Stone, Steve Uwins and Farron Calver were behind 4-7 by end 10 after a challenging opening stretch where single shots proved hard to come by. They stayed patient and managed to pull back into contention during the second half, but a late surge from the visitors left them unable to close the distance, finishing 7-16.
