Letter to the editor: Watch this important examination hearing for West of Ifield

I would urge everyone concerned about the future of West of Ifield, Ifield Brook Meadows Ifield Golf Club and the ancient Parish of Ifield to take time out to watch the recording of the Horsham Local Plan Examination held last Thursday, 15 October.
The proceedings provide an important opportunity for the community to hear the arguments being put before the Planning Inspector about the future of our precious area.
Personally speaking, I think Fenella Maitland-Smith and Cathy Durrant, representing Save West of Ifield, and George Sallows, representing Rusper Parish Council, did a magnificent job.
Their commitment, preparation and determination to ensure that local voices are heard deserve public recognition.
Whatever our individual views about the proposed development, we should value those prepared to participate in the democratic planning process and speak up for their communities.
Well done, Fenella, Cathy and George — and thank you.
