Church House Grounds saw Tarring Priory's finest bowlers compete in their Finals Weekend.

The highlight was a 28 end thriller between Judy Chambers, making her first appearance and defending champion Linda Harwood with Harwood winning 21 -20 thanks to a single shot on the final end
The Men's Championship Singles was a similar match with never more than 3 shots between Chris Ide and Keith Brinsmead but it was Ide who produced some magical bowls at the end to clinch a 21 -16 victory and his first title.
Ide completed the double when he won the Championship Pairs with Nick Eager against Roger Dutton, also making his first appearances at Finals Weekend ,having joined the club this year, and stalwart Mick Meadows who went down 15 -23.
It was the 2 wood triples that saw the comeback of the weekend. Trailing 3 -11 , Dennis Doody, Phil Saunders and skip Stuart Logan won the final 7 ends to take a 19 -11 win over a devastated Jamie Bull, Simon Rusbridge and Eager.
