The Woodstock IT sponsored 34th annual Horsham Battle of the Bands in June & July was a huge success with a plethora of local bands taking part and a very high turnout at the heats and finals. The standard was incredibly high, the judges had an almost impossible task. But the results were: Original Bands
1st: PLAYING ALICE 2nd: TROPHY CLUB 3rd: GODSPLIT Acoustic Originals:
1st: TREVOR CLAWSON 2nd: JEM DALEY 3rd: SIMON GARRARD Cover Acts:
1st: SOMETHING UNPREDICTABLE 2nd: HOMMEAGE 3rd: PARASOCIAL The original acts won a photoshoot with Sam Khan Photography, a recording package with Ignite AMR and a release package with AWAL while the covers act won £250 towards rehearsals, equipment and transport costs. BotB co-organiser, compère and 'local legend' Jamie 'Stan' Stanley said: "It was great to see so many people out supporting live music, especially originals, and the standard across so many acts ranging from just 17 years old to 60+ veterans was incredible. Horsham's live music scene is clearly still thriving thanks to this competition and the many local venues that support it. Long may this continue!"
