The Mayor of Polegate is inviting residents to nominate outstanding local volunteers for a free Sunday Roast Lunch at the Mayor’s Civic Reception on Sunday 22 November 2026 at The Cumberland Hotel.
Three volunteers will be selected to recognise their contribution to the Polegate community.
To be eligible, nominees must:
· Be a Polegate resident
· Have carried out voluntary work in Polegate
Nominations close Friday 23 October 2026.
How will the volunteers be selected?
All eligible nominations received by the closing date will be entered into a random draw. The draw will take place at the Full Council meeting on Monday 26 October 2026.
Three names will be drawn, and those volunteers will then be invited to attend the Mayor’s special Sunday Roast Lunch.
Mayor Cllr Stephen Shing said: “Our volunteers give so much of their time to support others and make a real difference to life in Polegate. This is a small way of saying thank you and recognising the important contribution they make to our community.”
If you know a volunteer who deserves recognition, please take this opportunity to nominate them.
