Widely regarded as one of Britain's greatest figure skaters, Robin Cousins inspired a generation with his artistry, athleticism and groundbreaking free skating performances. Since retiring from competitive skating, he has become a respected broadcaster, serving as a guest presenter and commentator for BBC Sport, covering the European and World Figure Skating Championships as well as the Winter Olympics. Renowned as an engaging and entertaining speaker, Robin will share personal stories, career highlights and behind-the-scenes insights from an extraordinary life on and off the ice.

The evening has an even greater purpose, with proceeds helping to raise funds for The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, a local children's charity that provides specialist nursing care at home for children with life-threatening illnesses.

The Sussex Snowdrop Trust supports families whose children are living with conditions including cancer, brain tumours, lung diseases and heart conditions. Its specialist paediatric community nurses help parents care for their seriously ill child at home, providing expert advice on administering medication, managing feeding tubes, changing dressings and offering practical and emotional support following diagnosis.

The charity also provides emotional support for the whole family and financial assistance for those struggling with the additional costs associated with caring for a seriously ill child.

Each year, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust must raise approximately £500,000 to maintain this essential service for families living within a 15-mile radius of Chichester who are on the Trust's specialist 'Snowdrop' pathway.

Di Levantine, Chair of The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, comments, “ We are delighted that Robin is supporting the charity in this way. We are excited to hear about his journey in skating and beyond. He is an inspirational speaker so the audience is in for a real treat. This is not to be missed!.”

The event will take place at The Nest, the exciting new performance venue at Chichester Festival Theatre, offering an intimate setting for what promises to be an inspiring and memorable evening.

This is a rare opportunity to hear one of Britain's most celebrated Olympians reflect on a lifetime of sporting achievement while helping to make a real difference to local children and their families.

Every donation will contribute to providing vital nursing care and support to local families as they navigate the challenges of caring for a seriously ill child.
