Lord Brett McLean has been re-elected President of Hastings Lions CIO for the municipal year 2026 - 2027.

Brett said " Im delighted and honoured to take on the role of President for the municipal year.

My focus will be member recruitment to ensure that Hastings Lions can continue to serve the community by adding social value by making a positive difference. "

Brett said LIONS stands for Liberty Intelligence Our Nations Safety but I prefer to describe it as Local Individuals Offering Needed Support. "

Hastings Lions through its pivotal fundraising throughout the year is able to provide grants to individuals, groups and associations funding specialist equipment or projects to improve the quality of individuals in need.
