Residents are invited to come together and celebrate Crawley's rich diversity at UNITY: Crawley Together this Saturday (12 September) in Memorial Gardens.
The free community event will bring together people from across the town's many cultures, faiths and backgrounds for a morning of entertainment, performances and speeches celebrating the values that make Crawley such a welcoming place to live.
Visitors can enjoy live music from local artists Victoria Boltwood and Yesha, a dance performance from Niruththiyalayam School of Dance, readings from Crawley Writers Circle and contributions from community and faith leaders, alongside local political leaders.
Councillor Michael Jones, Leader of Crawley Borough Council, said: “UNITY is a chance to celebrate everything that makes Crawley special. Our town is home to people from many different backgrounds and cultures, and this event is an opportunity to come together in friendship, understanding and respect.
“We hope residents will join us to enjoy the entertainment, meet people from across our communities and celebrate the values of kindness and inclusion that are so important to Crawley.”
UNITY: Crawley Together takes place in Memorial Gardens from 11am to 12.30pm. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
