Kingsland House care home in Shoreham has launched a Gentleman’s Club to help male residents socialise, build friendships and enjoy a meal together.

The idea came from the Mo Clark, activities coordinator at the care home, who wanted to create a relaxed space for conversation and connection. For their first gathering, the men chose a ‘Pie & a Pint’, and have already been putting in their requests for the next occasion!
Some of the male staff members also had the privilege of joining in this wonderful afternoon!
Ana Hyne, general manager at Kingsland House, said: "This is a fabulous idea by Mo and worked out extremely well. The gentleman of Kingsland House thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the delicious food. It was a great way for the male residents to get to know each other more as can sometime be more difficult for them.”
The ladies had their pamper session too, which is a great way for them to catch up with each other's company.
